PowerOutages.app aggregates publicly available power-outage information from utility and government feeds and helps you understand whether an outage is a utility-side issue or a problem inside your home. The Site is provided for general informational purposes only.

Not an emergency service

The Site is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for contacting your utility or calling 911. If you see downed power lines, sparks, smoke, a burning smell, or flooding near electrical equipment, leave the area, keep others away, and call 911 immediately, then report it to your utility.

Accuracy and availability of data

Outage data comes from third-party public sources. Coverage, precision, and timeliness vary by area, and the information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. The absence of a reported outage does not guarantee that the grid is healthy, and the presence of a reported outage does not guarantee its scope or restoration time. You should always confirm critical information with your utility.

Electrician advertising and pay-per-call

Electrician connections on the Site are advertising. Calling a listed number may connect you with a paid third-party advertiser through a pay-per-call network. We do not employ, license, endorse, supervise, or guarantee any electrician or contractor, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with them. A licensed electrician cannot restore a utility-wide outage; electricians help only when the problem is inside your home. You are responsible for verifying any provider's licensing, insurance, pricing, and suitability before hiring them.
