PowerOutages.app publishes free, location-based U.S. power-outage data, aggregated from public utility and government feeds. If you are a journalist, researcher, or run another site, you are welcome to reference it or embed a live status widget — at no cost.
What we offer
- Live outage status by ZIP code — customers affected near a specific ZIP, where utilities publish at that precision.
- County, city, and state status — aggregated outage figures for any U.S. county or state.
- Power-company (utility) status — outages across a named utility's service territory; see our power-company outage pages.
- National map & rankings — a live national outage map and ranked tables of the hardest-hit states and counties on our national outages page.

Drop this snippet into any page to show a live power-outage status box. It is a lightweight iframe — no script required:

Our outage data is free to cite and embed. The only thing we ask is a link back to PowerOutages.app as the source. We are an independent aggregator and are not affiliated with any utility or government agency, so please attribute the underlying figures to their public sources where appropriate (see our methodology).
